Daycare activities

Babies between 0 and 1.5 years old generally do not have a fixed schedule. Sleeping and feeding schedules differ per baby and so we let the parents decide this completely. The teachers will always do their best to follow what you do at home. We do have many activities that we perform with the children during activity time, among them:

•   Singing songs

•   Reading

•   Finger-painting

•   Hand-painting

•   Stomach and back exercises

•   Learn to roll

•   Learn to crawl

•   Learn to stand and take the first steps!

Growth book Every baby has a personal Teddy Kids growth book. In it we keep track of the following:

•   A painted hand/foot in every group.

•   Drawing of the child in every group.

•   A story from the group teacher about your child.

•   Interesting facts such as the first steps, first word or sentence.
Activity program Toddler-Talk/Peuterpraat:

At Teddy Kids we work with a program called Toddler-Talk which is comprehensive program which prepares children for the first grade of school. Teachers use this as a guide but add an international twist to keep it with the Teddy Kids style.

Each theme takes about 3-4 weeks and is focused on developing specific knowledge and capabilities of children ages 1.5-4. The general themes that are treated throughout the year are:

•   Me (Body and family)

•   Food and Drink

•   Spring

•   Summer

•   Autumn

•   Winter

•   Shopping

•   Street

•   Zoo

•   House

•   Clothing

Toddler-Talk is a program that stimulates and develops all general skills of children ages 1.5-4 years old. The teachers offer an amplitude of activities and exercises to ensure your chid is ready for school. We ensure all children are prepare through continuous checks of development areas and observations. For parents who are interested, once a year we organise a 10-minute conversation to discuss any questions you may have on your child. You are of course always welcome to request a conversation should you have any questions. The teachers will always find time to sit down and talk about it with you.
